Black Star Line
Praxis focus on the practices, learning environments, and child guidance strategies that best support the learning styles and preferences of African American children and other children of African descent. Children are home schooled in a nurturing, caring environment focused on providing a positive, learning experience.

The Shattered Glass Project is a theatre company with the mission to amplify the voices of theatre artists who have been marginalized on the basis of their gender or sex, including but not limited to cis and trans women, non-binary folks, and trans-masculine/trans-feminine folks, by providing unique opportunities to create and grow professionally.

Margaret Liston Quilts
A mixed media textile artist who uses a mix of handmade designs and commercial fabrics to design quilts. Most of Margaret’s quilts are made for wall hanging. Her quilts have been in shows locally, nationally and in New Zealand. Her quilts can be seen locally at the Northwest Woodworker’s Gallery, where they show and sell her work. Steel Drums/Pan
If you love the beat and rhythm of Steel drums and listen to it around the Seattle area, you were probably hearing former or current students of Michael Shantz. At the MLK Center, there are group classes for youth and adults. No musical experience is necessary.

Rhodesworks Design
Rhodesworks Design Studio at the MLK Center is the creative space for Richards Rhodes. A well-known artist in the stone/masonry art world, Mr. Rhodes' sculptures are located worldwide. The Seattle Metropolitan magazine did a feature on him and his work in 2006.

ARCS & EHC
Did you know that every two weeks a language disappears, taking with it an entire cultural and intellectual heritage? ARCS & EHC are nonprofit associations striving to promote a better understanding of the rich culture of Central and Eastern Europe, with an emphasis on Romania and the American Romanian cultural heritage in the Seattle area. As well as sharing and preserving ethnic heritage to advance mutual understanding.
