A mixed media textile artist who uses a mix of handmade designs and commercial fabrics to design quilts. Most of Margaret’s quilts are made for wall hanging. Her quilts have been in shows locally, nationally and in New Zealand. Her quilts can be seen locally at the Northwest Woodworker’s Gallery, where they show and sell her work. If you love the beat and rhythm of Steel drums and listen to it around the Seattle area, you were probably hearing former or current students of Michael Shantz. At the MLK Center, there are group classes for youth and adults.  No musical experience is necessary.

Rhodesworks Design Studio at the MLK Center is the creative space for Richards Rhodes. A well-known artist in the stone/masonry art world, Mr. Rhodes' sculptures are located worldwide. The Seattle Metropolitan magazine did a feature on him and his work in 2006.

Since 1995, Preschool Adventures has provided growth inspiring care to children and families with adventures that takes them far beyond the standard quality of an everyday preschool. We are proud to share with you that PALC received a Quality of Excellence Rating from Early Achievers, which was assessed by the University of Washington.

PALC provides a preschool curriculum centered around STEM and play-based activities for preschoolers. Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 5:30 pm. We are a licensed preschool contracted with the Department of Early Learning and City of Seattle.

Did you know that every two weeks a language disappears, taking with it an entire cultural and intellectual heritage? ARCS & EHC are nonprofit associations striving to promote a better understanding of the rich culture of Central and Eastern Europe, with an emphasis on Romania and the American Romanian cultural heritage in the Seattle area. As well as sharing and preserving ethnic heritage to advance mutual understanding.
